We're excited to announce that the Okaloosa County Public Schools Foundation has been awarded a $100,000 Career Catalyst Grant from The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation! Senator Danny Burgess, Chair of PreK-12 Education Appropriations Committee, presented the check to support our innovative "Growing Laurel Hill" agricultural program. This initiative will provide 150 students in rural communities with hands-on experience in horticulture, Agri-Technology, and more! With additional support from the Farm Bureau, Yellow River Soil and Water Conservation, local businesses, and the US Department of Agriculture, this program showcases the power of public-private partnerships to create meaningful career pathways for Florida students.
