Art
The arts are a fundamental part of every society. Art classes encourage imagination, free thinking, creativity, and self-expression. They also help students to focus, plan projects and increase their fine motor skills. There are many career possibilities for those who are interested in the visual arts: graphic designer, advertising director, architect, commercial artist, fashion designer, interior designer, product designer, sculptor, and more.
The Okaloosa County School District sponsors an art show at the fairgrounds each spring which is co-sponsored by the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. In addition, eighth and twelfth-grade students are invited to participate in the Van Porter Art Show.
