Our schools frequently rely on parent volunteers for a variety of help, from special projects to fund-raising to help out with art or music programs and so on. Our volunteers have enriched the school experience for thousands of our students, enabling us to offer opportunities that would never have been possible without their help.
If you are interested in volunteering at a school, please contact the school for information about the type of volunteers they are seeking and the time commitment required. For the safety of our children, all volunteers must complete the online volunteer application.
For the 2018-2019 school year, the Okaloosa County School District is changing to a new volunteer system called Raptor. ALL requests to volunteer (including Volunteer Renewals), will start off as a new application.
To start the application process, complete the Online Volunteer Application (Spanish application coming soon). Volunteer renewals please note: the online application process will be different from previous applications.
Once the online application is complete, an email confirmation and instructions on what to do next will be sent to the applicant. Please follow all instructions carefully. For questions, please contact Henry Kelley or Eric Mitchell.
An FDLE Sexual Predator/Offender background check will also be performed on all volunteers before they begin service. Mentors, Volunteer Coaches, and Overnight Chaperones will be fingerprinted in accordance with School Board Policy.
We are very grateful for all the work that our volunteers do to help make Okaloosa the number one school district in the State of Florida.
